I forgot my password — what now?
Use the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in screen. A reset link is sent to your registered email and remains valid for 30 minutes.
How do I delete my account?
Inside the app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete My Account. A 30-day grace period applies; you can reactivate by signing in during this window. More info: Account Deletion.
Why isn't the video I uploaded published right away?
Capsly is a time capsule platform. Your videos go live only at the publish time you choose; when the countdown ends they're released automatically. The publish time must generally be at least 1 hour in the future (30 minutes for items with an agenda tag).
Can I delete a video that has already been published?
No. For integrity, published videos are immutable (cannot be deleted or edited). Please review your content before the publish time.
How do I turn push notifications on or off?
Adjust Capsly's notification permission from your device's system settings. You can also manage notification preferences from Profile → Settings inside the app.
Who can see a video I send as a direct message?
A video shared with the "Direct" visibility is sent only to the single user you select; no one else can find it in their feed. It also remains locked until the publish time.
I suspect unauthorized access to my account.
Change your password immediately (Settings → Password) and contact support@capsly.app. We can end active sessions and, if needed, temporarily suspend the account.
3. Reporting a bug
To help us resolve issues quickly, please share as much of the following as you can:
- App version (visible at the bottom of Profile → Settings)
- Device type and OS version (e.g. iPhone 15, iOS 18.2 / Samsung S24, Android 14)
- The screen and steps where the issue occurred
- If possible, a screenshot or short screen recording
- The error message, if any
